Years ago…..


                                                  ... When Ashok Grover moved from Operations to Corporate HR, he felt the need to be on the fast track to capture nitty-gritties of the HR function. So, he went on to attend an association meet, where an important member speaker commented, “These days companies are talking of HR. I appeal to all member organizations to rename their departments from P&A (Personnel & Administration) to HR.” Flabbergasted, Ashok could not really digest how only changing the name of a department could make the “difference”. He took upon himself the challenge of building up an environment in his organization where people were treated with respect, management listened to them and the organization invested in their development. He broke the apprehension that by spending on people training and development, their employer might end up as a loser if the employees leave. The message was very clear that having a loyal deadwood for twenty years is a much bigger loss than having four star performers for only five years each. Of course, if one could have loyal star performers, that would be the best of both the worlds… Years later, all these thoughts became the building blocks of the organization - Skillscape - with a clear vision.

Who is Ashok Grover?


An expert in executive assessment and focused coaching, founder of Skillscape, Ashok Grover is an Engineer-MBA, CPC (Certified Professional Coach) and CELC (Certified Executive Leadership Coach). He has spent over four decades in the areas of Operations, Materials, Information Technology and Human Resources; and held Unit Head and Corporate Functional Head positions. He worked with Parle, Mohan Meakins, Ajay Piramal Group, Hawkins Cookers and lastly JBM Group as Chief Human Resource Officer before switching to management consulting in 2008.

He has to his credit many innovative HR practices, which he initiated at the organizations he worked for. Some of the key areas are Competency Assessment, Performance Measurement and Design & Implementation of unique Professional Value Enhancement Program (PVEP).

Ashok is a certified facilitator for 360-degree feedback and CORE Mapping. He is also licensed to administer Thomas psychometric instruments such as PPA, TAS and TST. Apart from conducting standard BPM-II® (Bullet Proof Manager) training programs, Ashok has trained thousands of people in the area of Organizational Philosophy (Vision, Mission, and Values), Balanced Score Card, Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Managerial Leadership and Power of Positive Attitude & Affirmations.
